Simple Sparkle Headband

Welcome to the new Tuesdays…Tutorial Tuesdays! This is the day that I will have DIY projects for your wedding, home, etc. Coming soon will be YouTube Videos for some of the tutorials! I will keep you posted when that starts to happen.

Alright, let’s begin.

You get the call that your daughter has been asked to be a Jr. Bridesmaid or a Flower Girl! You are excited and then start thinking of all the expenses that may come with that; dress, hair, shoes. Well I have a very simple headband that will work for just this occasion! Plus, you are up cycling something that you, your mom, or even your grandmother has and turning it into something new.

This is my Simple Sparkle Headband!

Let me tell you what I did. It will take you less than 5 minutes to put together. First step is to look around for an old brooch or pin. I got this from my mother. Then you will take off the backing of the pin so it’s just the sparkle piece. I then went onto ribbon retreat’s website and purchased some metal headbands. Here is the link: https://www.theribbonretreat.com/Products/headbandmetal-bended-end.aspx. I believe they only cost .50 cents each and the shipping is very reasonable!  IMG_6441You then take the flower, or whatever you have, and add some hot glue onto the back and then quickly place on the headband in the desired spot. I placed mine a little off center.IMG_6442

That is it! You are done and it is all ready to be worn!

It is simple, yet romantic as well. She will look beautiful and put together without looking older than she is! My daughter loves this headband and wears it all the time! Just the right amount of sparkle!

Tomorrow I will have my daughter, Clarisa, model a simple hairstyle to go along with this piece that can be used on your daughter during that special occasion.

Thank you and I hope you liked this fun and easy project that didn’t break the bank! Plus you helped out the environment by reusing something!
